Christmas

Hello. Christmas is next week on Friday. In other countries they celebrate Kwanzaa, Christmas, or/and  Hanukkah. Christmas is the time for being with your family and friends. Christmas is also about giving and receiving. Most people help out at a soup kitchen or help at a homeless shelter. For Christmas I want a iPod 5G.

Here are some suggestions for what to get a kid.
  • board games
  • Clothing
  • Shoes
  • Books
  • A toy of some kind
The things that some of the bloggers want for Christmas.
  • Itunes Card ($75?)f for Owen
  • ? unknown for Josie
  • Dragon (Norwegian Ridgeback) or a hippogriff for Bird
  • iPhone 6 for Penelope
  • Apple Products for Tommy (iPhone 6 plus)
  • iPhone and gift cards for Charlotte
Relatives please look at these wisely.

Hope you have a Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Hanukkah, Love Frenya H.

Holidays!

Ciao, io sono cosi eccitato per domani!(I am so excited for tomorrow!)

We are reaching the end of the semester, and with that comes many awesome end-of-the-year-things! We are watching a movie, and we can come to school in our pajamas! We will celebrate CHRISTMAS!!! I am sooooo excited to take a break from homework and such... but we will miss our friends and teachers!

As all bloggers have probably mentioned in their posts, Ellis Island is approaching. In fact, it is closer than that. ELLIS ISLAND IS TOMORROW!!! We are so excited!!! Going through medical exams and legal examination could not get more fun than this! Today we will get a run-through of how we will enter and such, and the decor is looking awesome so far!

Addio ragazzi!

The Food Bank

Yesterday (By yesterday I mean Tuesday) Ms.Wilcox's class got to the food bank because we won the Can-A-Thon! It was cool seeing how they put the bags together to help the needy that need food. Another awesome part was the walking part. Other than the walking field trip is that tomorrow is the Ellis Island simulation!

                                                                    Peace out,
                                                                                Tommy H.

Georgia Creams Furman

Did you watch the Lady Dawgs basketball game? We destroyed Furman 77-39. We were doing terrible in the first half.  But then we did amazing in the 2nd half. We held them scoreless for a long time. We cheered very loud when they scored. And then when it came to an end and we were all filled with joy.

Christmas Time Is Here

Christmas time is here! I am so filled with joy and cheer! I can not wait 'til Christmas so that I can be filled with sugar and food! I will be buried in wrapping paper and mostly presents. But the most important thing is family (And CHOCOLATE).

crazy week update

Charlotte here,
So, I am going to tell you a little about how my crazy week went.So on Friday I had my show at 8:30 in the morning with full make up and a bon-bon costume and I wore it down town to the Morton Theater(I looked a little wacky going down town looking like a confection). It went pretty smooth but, I was bored waiting. When I finished I had a run through right after it. I got picked up at 11:30 and I was pretty pumped to get out of my scratchy costume.I ate lunch and returned at 4. I got to watch the first winter recital with my mom and it was really fun! I waited some time and danced my part, I missed the bow and went to my friend's b-day.That was only Friday!

                                                                        Goodbye day,
                                                                             Charlotte M

Christmas Presents!!!!!

Merry [almost] Christmas!

What do you guys think you're gonna get for Christmas? Well, if you go around shaking boxes, you may break something!! I'm not saying I go snooping around my parents' closet [which I totally do,] but sometimes it's really easy to tell what you're gonna get for Christmas! Here are some of the things that the other bloggers are going to get for Christmas:

Bird: A phone case, earrings, and York peppermint patties
Josie: Headphones, and Harry Potter stuff
Tommy: Unknown
Owen: A lot of king-sized candy bars
Charlotte: An iPhone
Frenya: Hopefully an iPad
Mrs. Hudson: Melvie will probably make her something at school
Penelope [me]: An iPad, books, and iTunes gift cards

That's a WRAP,
Penelope

Holiday Breakfast

Hei! miten olet ollut?

We are having a last-day-of-school-before-Christmas-break-party on the 18th, and one of the events that will take place on that day: holiday breakfast! We will devour most of the following: doughnuts, OJ and apple juice, some sort of bagel, bacon, eggs, pancakes, grits, biscuits, waffles, and much more. (Sorry if you haven't eaten lunch, breakfast or dinner; because I probably worsened the situation.) I am bringing juice, but some people are bringing crazy things, like apple swans. So I believe that we will be well fed next Friday. ;) So excited!!!!!

Hyvasti kaikille!

Winter Cleaning And 5th Breakfast

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d3/Clorox_Bleach_products.jpg
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d5/Commercial_cleaning_materials.jpg
In Ms. Thompson's class, next week we have a lot of cleaning in our classroom. Our book bins are a mess, and our classroom is out of order. Ms. Thompson's desk is like a tornado came. We also have to clean up the mess from 5th grade breakfast. After all the cleaning is done, our classroom should be as good as new to start the new year!

The 5th grade breakfast is December 18. It's like a potluck. Each kid has to bring a dish. You could bring orange juice or apple juice. Also, eggs, bacon, grits, pancakes, waffles, bagel, doughnuts, biscuits, or fruit. I can't wait until the 5th grade breakfast!

Basketball Field Trip

On Tuesday, all 2nd to 5th grade in a lot of the Clarke County schools went to a basketball game! It was the Lady Dogs basketball so it was all girls. I don't remember the name of the team that they played against but I do know that they were from South Carolina. Everyone was pretty happy because UGA won! We all got free lunch and red and black pom-poms. The lunch wasn't that bad but their sandwiches were a little soggy. My favorite part was just sitting and talking with friends. I suggest that you go see them!

                                                        Bye, Josie T.

Winter Musical

Hallo hoe ben je al geweest?

The winter musical, The Reindeer Whisperer, is just around the corner, so I am going to fill you in about what crazy things have been going on with that.

We are having play practice every day sometime like math or instead of specials. The songs and movements are looking and sounding superb! Sublime! Splendid! Marvelous! Astounding!  Some of the characters include:

Reindeer Whisperer: Lucas D.
Santa Claus: played by Luke T.
Mrs. Claus: played by Dylan M.
Elves: played by various people in fourth and fifth grade that we did not know the names of
Herbie: Demarion T.
Reindeer: Spencer F., Kalilah D., Andrew E., Tommy H.(blogger), Ethan C., Amelia B., Lilly M., Jasmine L.
Soloists: fourth graders that we did not know the names of. THEY SOUND AMAZING!!!

Well, I hope that you enjoyed my post and I will talk to you in my next blog!

Vaarwel indereen,

Winter Musical!!!

Hello,

This week we are doing a musical called The Reindeer Whisperer! I am very excited about the musical! The songs are really fun, and we are doing a LOT of rehearsals for the musical. We are rehearsing in the gym on the risers. There are a lot of parts in the play. Here are some of the main roles in the play:

 1. Santa- played by Luke T.
 2. Mrs. Claus- played by Dylan M.
 3. Reindeer Whisperer- played by Lucas D.
 4. Herbie- played by Demarion T.
 5. Reindeer- played by Amelia, Ethan, Tommy, Andrew, Spencer, Jasmine, Lilly, Khalilah
 6. Elves- played by mixed grades

The musical is about reindeer who overhears the elves talking about overhearing Santa talking to someone about taking the reindeer to California for a vacation. The elves and reindeer think that they are being sent to retire, so the reindeer get all upset over that and the Reindeer Whisperer comes to find out why the reindeer won't fly. They finally figure out, after about 2 or 3 songs, that they were to upset to fly! That is basically the whole play! Goodbye!

My CRAZY Calendar

This week has been crazy with my crazy schedule! I have several events I have to get ready for listed on my calendar. I have 2 dance rehearsals one with the testing of the lights and one dress rehearsal with my costume and make-up. I had a play practice which I had to miss and my piano recital coming up this Sunday, which I picked a pretty dress for. I have 3 shows on Friday, so I will miss school on Friday! Also my sister has a birthday and I will go to a party for 40 minutes in my costume and makeup and then go to my show. Bye for now.
                                 Charlotte M.

Ellis Island

On December 17 the 5th grade will have an Ellis Island simulation. We will know how it felt to be a immigrant. We will be able to dress up. We will be able to pretend to be someone from Ireland, Italy, and Germany. I am from Ireland (whoooohooo). I can't wait for December 17.

UGA Basketball Game!

Our school and other schools get to go to the UGA basketball game! It is (of course) UGA vs. Furman University. But I just learned that it is women's basketball, not men's like the other games that I saw when I was younger. We won all the games that we saw. We are going to wear our Chase Street T-shirts to the game to keep track of the students and to represent our school. I just can't wait for the game! I am literally jumping out of my seat! GO DAWGS! SIC'EM! WOOFWOOFWOOF!

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d2/Stegeman.JPG

Winter Musical

On December 8th is our holiday musical. 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade participate in the musical. We have to stand on the risers.  The dance moves were created by Mrs. Ragsdale. This year's play is called The Reindeer Whisper. Last year it was Once on a Housetop. In third grade, the musical was Happy the High Tech Snowman. Happy the High Tech Snowman is about a snowman who came to life and helped kids. This year, Cesar Salad is the Reindeer Whisper, and he's trying to get the reindeer to fly. For the musical, we have to wear blue jeans and a solid color t-shirt. The songs are "Christmas Eve Eve," "Why Won't You Fly," "Words Can Hurt," and "It's Time to Fly." Chorus also has to perform at the musical. Anyone is welcome to come. Free admission! We would love if more and more people would come!

Musical

Throughout this week we have been practicing our winter musical NONSTOP! I do not like to sing so I just lip sync but I do the dance moves. The thing that I do not like about the musical is having to be smushed and smashed on the risers because you cannot move and do the dance moves very well. I do like that I get to work on the backdrop in art club. This year's show is called The Reindeer Whisperer and it is about Santa's reindeer not wanting to fly. It is on December 8th and I suggest that you come!

                                                    Bye, Josie T.

Ellis Island

For our Ellis Island simulation I am a German immigrant butcher and have a family of  4. One of my children is a blogger in the same room as I type (Frenya). I cannot believe I do not have another boy in the family! I mean, it is not bad that I don't have a boy, but I wanted one to take over my job every once and a while so that I can get some rest, you know? Some Germans came to escape religious discrimination and some came to find a better life in the US. I am really looking forward to the Ellis Island simulation.

To Eat or Not to Eat Turkey?

Should we eat or not eat turkey for Thanksgiving? The 5th graders are writing our opinions about if we should eat turkey or not. I think we should NOT eat turkey from a turkey's perspective. There are plenty of other foods in the world that you can eat. How would you feel if you were a turkey and what's your opinion?

Thanksgiving!!!!

Hola,
This week I am blogging about Thanksgiving! This is my third favorite holiday, because you get to stuff your face with delicious food! I am going to Augusta to go celebrate with my family and I am very excited to be with my family, and I get to go see my great great grandmother! My family is crazy, but you gotta love 'em! I think my favorite part about Thanksgiving this year will be going to see Hunger Games Mocking Jay Part 2 with my aunt, uncle, dad, mom, grandma, grandpa, my cousin Audrey, my cousin Jake, and my little god brother Atom. I think we might take up the WHOLE theater!! What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Leave a comment down below!! Have a good Thanksgiving!!
                                                      Bye for now,

Ellis Island Simulation Updates!

Ciao! Come stai?

Today I am going to write about a continuous topic... Ellis Island Simulation day! Some of the bloggers and I have figured out who we will be and are so excited for being immigrants! We are from all sorts of countries and families. I will make a list...

Josie: Irish housewife
Tommy: German butcher
Frenya: German 7 year old child (A child of one of our fellow bloggers)
Penelope: unknown
Owen: unknown
Charlotte: unknown
Me (Bird): Italian seamstress

The reason that Frenya has in parentheses "a child of one of our fellow bloggers" is that some people have wives, husbands and children. I meant that when I said "countries and families". Also, one class that Penelope and Owen are in haven't gone to library yet and don't know their identities. They are getting more and more excited! We all are!

Arrivederci!
Bird

Ellis Island Simulation

This week we found out who we will be in the Ellis Island Simulation. I am from Germany. My name is Elsa Gottschalk. My dad is one of our fellow bloggers, Tommy. Ellis Island is a place where immigrants from the European countries came to America. Angel Island is where the Asian immigrants went to which is on the west coast.

Many Germans left Germany for many reasons.

  • To have a new life in the U.S.
  • To see other family members in the U.S.
  • To find jobs, money, and success in the U.S.
  • To avoid being pushed to be into the German military.
  • To escape religious discrimination.
I can see why they left Germany! I am really happy to see what Ellis Island is like.

Phoenix

During ELT, me and fellow bloggers Bird S. and Charlotte M. are working on a separate research project from every one else!  Here are our research topics:

Bird- Dragons
Charlotte-Unicorns
Me-Phoenix

Right now, I am working on my poster and I will soon be finished. It is hard to research a creature that doesn't exist because there are lot of different websites with different opinions about the story, its behavior, and mostly its appearance. I am very excited for the final product!

                                                        Bye, Josie T.

Clubs

This is what is going in clubs. In chorus people are learning 4 new songs. The engineering club is working on 3D printing. The art club people are working on the background for the play. The team sports athletes are playing games. I am in Engineering club. I love all of the lessons on Tinkercad (practice for 3D printing).

Thanksgiving

Good afternoon friends,

I'm going to talk to you about the holiday Thanksgiving. It is a very nice holiday of giving thanks and being thankful for the things we have. I'm Thankful for my friends and family and the food I eat. My favorite Thanksgiving food is cornbread muffins and mac-n-cheese. Frenya's is ham, Josie's favorite is mashed potatoes, Tommy's is shepherd's pie, Bird's is pumpkin pie, and Owen's is turkey with crannberry sauce on top. What is your favorite Thanksgiving food? Sorry I was not blogging last week; I had benchmarks. :-( Have a good Thanksgiving!

Adios,
Charlotte M. :-)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Augusta Scattergood

Augusta Scattergood Skyped with the fifth and the fourth grade and we asked her questions about her books and stuff like that. We also talked about her books The Way to Stay in Destiny and Glory Be as the main subjects. We talked about the main characters lives in the story, mainly the one in The Way to Stay in Destiny because that was the book we were supposed to read for her "visit" to the school. She told us about things from her childhood like her shoe box with some toys that she played "joke poker" with her sister when she was little.

Ellis Island Stimulation

Dia duit! Today I am going to blog about our Ellis Island simulation! We just decided which country we will be from in library. The choices were Germany, Ireland, and Italy. I chose Ireland, but all of the choices were good! We will simulate going through immigration at Ellis Island on the 17th of December. We are doing it in the library, aka where we are blogging right now! All of the fifth grade is so excited and looking forward to being IMMIGRANTS!!!

Selamat tinggal,
Bird

Thanksgiving

Hello fellow people of the world. Thanksgiving is on November 26. What's your favorite food? Comment below. For Thanksgiving it takes my mom at least 2 days to cook our dinner.  My favorite foods are ham, corn, dressing, and mashed potatoes. I don't like mac and cheese, cornbread, and turkey. Our fellow bloggers' favorite foods are mac and cheese, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, shepherd's pie/chicken pot pie, and turkey. The first Thanksgiving lasted 3 days. Most people don't think about why we have Thanksgiving; they just think about eating. It is a time to give back and spend time with your family.

http://www.nueskes.com/assets/item/large/550-spiral-sliced-boneless-ham_1_.jpg

Veterans Day

On November 11 it was Veterans Day! Veterans Day is always celebrated on the 11th hour of  the 11th day of the 11th month. That day is Veterans Day because that was the day that World War l ended.

Here is a funny story: One day I was eating dinner with a friend and my friend has a 5 year old sister and she said, "You know, Thanksgiving is not the next holiday. The next holiday is shoulders day! It is where you write letters to people in the army who miss their families.'' We were really confused until we figured out that she meant soldiers day as in Veterans Day!

                                                  Bye, Josie T.

Benchmarks

This week we had two of our benchmarks, the ELA and the math benchmarks. These were tests to show what we have learned in the unit. We had to take them on our computers, which I did not really like. It was long and mostly intimidating. It was intimidating and long because once you finished you were stuck there reading a book and waiting for the next subject.

Our Square One Projects

Hej läsare,
This week I am blogging about the Square One projects! The square one projects are these printing projects that we did in art.
Everybody made really cool Square One projects, and a lot of people's art got put either in the hallway or on The Artist of the Week Wall. Everybody had really good prints and backgrounds, and they were all mesmerizing. Congrats to Bird, Pierce, and Amari for being the three artists of the week!!

Author Visit

Hallo an alle! Today I am blogging about a visit from the writer of a book that we are reading, The Way to Stay In Destiny.....AUGUSTA SCATTTERGOOD! She is going to be interviewed by the fourth and fifth grade via Skype!!! We are so excited for her visit and are already deciding on questions to ask.
Bis später!

Can-a-Thon

Today I am writing about the Can-a-thon! The Can-a-thon is from now until November 20. The Can-a-thon is where kids at school all bring in cans to donate to the local food bank. The class that has the most cans gets to take a field trip to the food bank. I suggest that you bring in your cans to help a good cause. (Remember to make sure the cans are unopened and that they are food cans!)

     Bye, Josie T.

Square 1 Art

The Square 1 Art project is a fundraiser for our school. This year we made a print block, we painted the background, and then we printed. First we made a design. Next, we drew it on the block. Later, we carved it out. Last, we painted a background and printed the block. Ms. Dean (the art teacher) wanted us to think about radial symmetry, which is when the symmetry goes in a circle. This project took at least 3 weeks. Our projects get sent off to Square 1 and made into coffee mugs, t-shirts, stickers, and more. This project was awesome!

MLK project

Congrats to the 5th grade winners of the Martin Luther King project. The winners are Bird S. and moi.

For this project, 2nd-5th grades did writing or artwork that answered the question "How can I help Martin Luther King's dream come true?"

And now Bird and I are going to represent Chase Street at the district finals along with 2 second graders.
.
Here is my entry:

Dear Martin Luther King,

I will help your dream come true. I will help homeless people.

I would give them food.

I would give what I can.

I would fill them with joy.

I would share about how much I care.

I would share my feelings.

I would tell them that they are not different.

I would tell them that they are great people.

This is how I can help your dream.

From,
Owen

Halloween

Hello Readers!,

I'm going to tell you about my Halloween. First I went trick-

or-treating dressed up as "Super Kitty", then I quickly changed

into a Peter Pan costume and rushed to the Wild Rumpus. When we got

there, we met up with my friend Olivia, who  was dressed as Peter

Pan's Shadow. At the Rumpus, Olivia and I  passed out candy to

other  children watching, and got to see a

lot of other people's

interesting and creative costumes. I had a

really fun and enjoyable

Halloween, and I hope you did as well!

                                   Bye for now,

Drugs and I Don't Mix

At my school this week we had Red Ribbon Week. Today we had a mixed up clothes day and I am totally mixed up. Yesterday we had pajama day and Monday we had wear red day. Tomorrow it is the last day of the week because of fall break, and it is twin day. The main idea of Red Ribbon Week is to be drug free. I hope all the people who take drugs stop.

Red Ribbon week

Good Afternoon guys,
It has been a crazy few days with red ribbon week activities, lots of homework, and tons of halloween decorating and costume preparing. For Red Ribbon Week, we celebrate being drug free by dressing up every day based on a different theme. On, Monday we dressed up in all red to be festive for red ribbon week. On, Tuesday, we got to wear....PJS! On, Wednesday (today) we are able to wear mis-matched clothes! On, Thursday we will wear matching clothes and be identical with one of our friends....YOU ARE TWINS!!! On, Friday we have no school!  A four-day weekend. I'm so excited for the fall break.

                                                              Sayonara :-)
                                                           And see you later!
                                                                   Charlotte M.

(Check out my mis-matched clothes!!!)

Red Ribbon Week

Γεια σου,
This week we had Red Ribbon week to celebrate being drug free. On Monday, everybody wore red. On Tuesday, everybody wore their pajamas. On Wednesday, today, we incorrectly matched our clothes. On Thursday, tomorrow, we have to come to school dressed alike as another human being. On Friday, guess what..... NOOOOOOOOO SCCCCCCHHHHHOOOOLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!
The reason we have no school on Friday is because we have Fall Break!! We have four full days to ourselves! What are you going to do on your Fall Break? Leave a comment down below!
                                                    Î‘ντίο,

Red Ribbon Week

Moi! (That's Estonian.)

Today I am going to write about an event that is going on right now and is really fun and teaches kids that drugs are not cool...RED RIBBON WEEK!!! This week we are dressing crazily under topics to celebrate being drug free. Monday was a red-out day where you wore red shirts, socks, shorts and everything in between! Tuesday was a day where you could get out of bed and come straight to school... you got it! Pajama day! Wednesday is mismatched day! And Thursday will be twin day!

Each day has a drug free catchphrase: Wear red and be drug free, Drugs don't shatter my dreams, Drugs and I don't mix, and Friends help friends be drug free.  (You can probably guess which catchphrase goes with the topic!)

Anyway, the week has been, is, and will be really fun and I hope you enjoy your week, too!
Näkemiin!

Family Skate Night

On Tuesday October twenty-seventh, there was Family Skate night at Athens Skate Inn! It was a lot of fun and it was cool to see some of your teachers out of school. They had a lot of awesome songs playing and they had a girl skate and a boy skate. Also they had fun game like a dice rolling game and skating races. They also have a food court and arcade games. We could also wear our Halloween costumes and I liked to see what other classmates are going to be for Halloween. At the skating rink there was only Chase Street kids so there were not strangers that you didn't know. There is another skate night in the spring so I recommend that you go!

Red Ribbon Week

This week 10/26-10/29 is Red Ribbon Week. Monday was wear red day, Tuesday was pajama day, Wednesday is mis-matched day, and Thursday is going to be twin day. Red Ribbon Week is about being drug free. Since you're drug free you get to dress wacky to school. This week has been crazy, colorful, and short. Ms. Ballard goes around taking pictures of wacky kids in wacky clothes. I love Red Ribbon Week!

All About Me

My homeroom teacher is Mrs.Stokes. I have been at Chase Street for six years. One thing I like about 5th grade is the time we go to specials because it's a good way to start the morning. One thing I do not like about 5th grade is that recess is very short. Last summer I went to a lake and an island. This year I might be the best soccer player in the school.

Halloween

Boo!

Did I scare you? Do you know what the spookiest day of the year is? HALLOWEEN!!! Good morning ghastly creatures.  How are you? Are you going to get tricked or treated this devious time of year? I might get both...

So what are you going to be for halloween? I am going to be a fairy. Maybe an evil one. Tommy is going to be a ghostbuster with his family, Penelope is going to be a puppet from Five nights at Freddy, Bird is going to be zombie girl, Frenya is going to be someone from the 70s, and Josie's is a mystery.

I'm very excited to get some more candy, especially fun dip!  My parents usually go out with a group of their friends for Halloween. This time they are going to be dressed as the game Pac-man, and so is Mrs. Hudson's family.

Have a happy, happy Halloween!

                                                                 Goodbye.....For Now!

Halloween and Fall Break

Halloween and Fall Break are both coming soon, and I did not forget about the Georgia game against Florida. Just so you know Georgia is going to lose because Florida has the best running back in the SEC conference. Also, Ohio State is going to win it again! GO BUCKEYESOK, now about Halloween, I'm going to be a Ghostbuster along with my mom and dad. But my brother is going to be the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. Happy Halloween!

Benchmark Testing

Next week we are having benchmark testing! I am not very happy or excited because that is the week of our fall break and I want that week to be fun. If you did not know, the benchmark is a test that you have to take twice a year and they just show how you are progressing in school. I do not remember my previous benchmark tests because I have been trying to block them out.  I do not want to spend time that we could be using for fun activities on a very long and boring test. See you after the test!

                                                             Bye, Josie T.

Book Fair

Book fair was 10/13/15-10/16/15. The book fair was awesome but short. I wish book fair was a whole month. At the book fair, I got seven books, about six erasers, and two bookmarks. The books I got at the book fair are Moving TargetPublic School Hero, Woof, Big Nate, and The Lost Track of Time. I have started reading Big Nate and Moving Target. I think that Moving Target is a great book because a girl name Cassie is wanted by a group of people and she is scared. I loved the book fair! But now the book fair is all packed up and I am sad. :(

Georgia Museum of Art

Yesterday, all of 5th grade took a field trip to the Georgia Museum of Art. It was a fascinating experience, because we got to look at a lot of different paintings, and all of them used different styles and mediums. Some of the paintings that we got to see were called "My Forbears Were Pioneers" and "The Secret." We also got to go into the sculpture garden where they had work by Alice Aycock. After we visited the sculpture garden we got to make our own art inspired by hers. Once we finished our tour, we ate lunch on the lawn at the museum. The picture below is one of the sculptures by Alice Aycock that they had on display at the museum. It is called Twists and Turns.

Book Fair !!!

Hola,

Hi guys, I can't wait for Book Fair! It is almost here. The Book Fair truck just arrived with the Book Fair set-up.

We just watched the Book Fair video which previewed a ton of books that looked very interesting. I found a book called Dork Diaries and it looks really cool. I also saw a book by Poison Apple which looks awesome!

Every year there is a theme for the book fair; this year it is monsters and it makes sense because it is almost Halloween!

Also there are little bookmarks and posters which are not so small.

I can't wait to start reading!
