Art Club by Julia L

This semester, I was in Art Club. We do clubs every Friday. Art Club was SOO fun, especially since I'm in 5th grade this year. Here is a list of things we did this year...

- Drew 'Birds Eye View' drawings

- Made clay looms to weave on with string

- Weaved ONTO the looms we made

- Drew LOTS of different perspectives

- Painted the backdrop for the 1st and 2nd grade play

Art Club was very entertaining and fun this semester, for many reasons! I really like our Art teacher, Mrs. Dean, and I've learned TONS of cool things about art and drawing. Tomorrow is very sadly our last day of Clubs. We're going to have a party with lots of great breakfast foods! I think Art Club was a great way to end the year!

Poetry Picnic By Julian

On Tuesday we had a school wide event called Poetry Picnic. At Poetry Picnic they have games, food, soccer and lots of other stuff. When I got there, there were a lot of people, which was very exciting. Some years a lot of people don't come which is very sad, but it was really fun this year. We played games which had all poetry related activities like writing poetry, musical chairs, and going inside to look at poetry that students wrote. A lot of my friends were there, which was cool, and we had a great time. Poetry picnic is one of my favorite events of the year.
