Sandy Creek Fun!

Chase Street fifth grade went to Sandy Creek last week and it was awesome!!!

We went on a hike and saw all kinds of things, like mushrooms of all colors! red, orange, white, yellow, purple, and even a polka dotted one!!! Some of the animals we saw were LOTS of daddy long legs, and we saw a beaver hole! It was so cool! I almost walked in to a spider web, but luckily some one saved me! Whew!!!

We also learned about microorganisms and made our own slides out of the pond water. They looked like a bunch of colorful squiggly lines.

We all had a blast at Sandy Creek!!! Thank you teachers!

  3. I didn't know there were so many colorful mushroom varieties growing so nearby. How cool! Did you see all those white mushrooms that were growing in the Chase Street front yard a few weeks ago? Some of them were huge! Thanks for sharing about your fun trip!
