We have not blogged in a while, so here is alllllll the things Chase has been doing lately! To start off, we had the Milestones Assessments (Dun dun dunnnnn!!!). First, we had the ELA, then Math, then Science, and finally, Social Studies. (Math is my worst, and least favorite!) But finally, they're over!
And just two days ago, the first and second graders did a musical!! It was called 'Arf', and of course, it was all about dogs. It was really cute!!
And after the musical, there was the Art Show! And what that is, is when everyone picks one piece of their art and puts it in the show. It's still up right now, actually.
Now, Field Day and the Talent Show! Field Day is in 15 days!! On field day, we get sprayed with water in many, many ways! (Well to say it in a very short way.) I did the Talent Show in 3rd and 4th grade, but I'm not gonna do it this year.
The day before the last day of school, we have 5th grade Graduation!!! I don't really know what we are doing yet, but you get the idea- Graduation. And on the last day, we are going to have 5th Grade Fun Day, where we'll get pizza, go outside, and LOTS more fun!!
This was your news for April 30th... hope you enjoyed!!

Tie Dyeing Shirts By: ARIANA
On Friday May 1, 2015 the 5th grade will be tie dyeing t-shirts. They also can bring kits to dye t-shirts and decorations. We are going to tie dye our t-shirts for field day. Field day is a day when you get to get wet and participate in fun centers. Some centers are very fun because you get to play games.

16 Days of School Left By Julian
After this year the 5th grade is going to middle school. This year has been really fun and I'm very excited and a little bit sad that I won't be back at Chase Street next year. According to the 5th grade teachers we have a lot of interesting stuff planned for the end of the year: field day, which is my favorite event of the school year, and talent show, 5th grade graduation which I have heard is supposed to be really fun, 5th grade fun day which I don't really know what we do, and a lot of other stuff. Chase Street was a really good school because all of the teachers are very nice, but still I'm very excited to go to a different school next year.

Book Fair By: ARIANA
Last week we had a book fair that had lots of interesting books. I went to the book fair 2-3 times because there were really good books. I really enjoyed my book fair. I got a lot of books, for example I got Farm Babies, Safari Babies, Breathe, and How to Speak Dolphin. I also got one pack of puzzle erasers, seven pencils, and three bookmarks. I really enjoyed it. I think you should come and visit one day.

Book Fair! By Julia L.
Last week was the book fair! I got three books. I read two of them so far. The three I got are called My Secret Guide to Paris, The One and Only Ivan, and How to Speak Dolphin. I would recommend all of them! I won't give them away, but The One and Only Ivan is about a gorilla named Ivan who lives in a shopping mall, and finds an elephant friend named Ruby. It is based on a true story! My Secret Guide to Paris is about a girl named Nora who goes to Paris- a place she's always hoped to go. And last but not least, How to Speak Dolphin is about a girl named Lily, and she has a step brother named Adam who has autism and she has to take care of him. There were TONS of books, and we had a few left over! The Book Fair was a great way to have a chance to get books.

Book Fair!!! By Brighton
Our school library had a book fair last week. I barely got anything at the book fair! I got a book for myself and another I'm sharing with my cousin. My teacher gave me one of those purple tickets that allows you to buy a book that costs $7 or less, and I got The Iron Trial. I haven't read it yet, but I heard it was good. The book I am sharing with my cousin is called Bones Of Fairies. She is reading it right now, but I am really excited to read it. I hope I get a chance to read my new books soon!
