Hunger Games By Julian

For the past couple of months I have been reading the Hunger Games. The books are really good! I am on the third one right now. It is about a girl named Katniss who is drafted to go the Hunger Games. The Hunger Games is a competition that is where people go into a arena kind of place where kids try to kill one another and be the last one standing. But the year that Katniss went into the arena, she and her fake lover boy, Peeta win together and they are both victors. The third book is about a war between the Capitol and the District 13 which is where Katniss is staying. She is called the mockingjay of the rebel army. This series is really good. It is probably one of the best series I've ever read.

The Ellis Island Simulation -Julia L.

In 5th grade right now, we are talking about the Ellis Island immigrants! We can dress up, pack a bag full of stuff we think immigrants would have in bags, and learn a LOT more about Ellis Island! A little about coming into Ellis Island, they could only get a medical check for 6 seconds!! If they brought a disease in, they had to go back to their old country. They also had to be able to sign the Pledge of Allegiance in sign language, read in English, and answer many questions like, 'Who is the president of the United States?' and lots of other governmental questions. It was pretty hard to get into the US, but only 2% had to go back to their old country. Lots of parents are volunteering, and we are gonna have lots of fun!!!

Christmas Break by: Lamar

Man, I am back in school from Christmas break! When I was out of school, I did a lot of fun things and one boring thing. Which one do you want first.....? Well, I will give you the boring news first. That is that I went to Florida. The fun part is that I got what I wanted  for Christmas. The thing I wanted was a PlayStation 4, and I got a lot of games: NBA 2K15, Madden 25, Madden 15, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, Battlefield 4, Destiny, The Crew, Farcry 4, and Call of Duty Ghost. I also got a PlayStation Plus Card and Headset.

Hi, my name is Caleb. Over Christmas Break, I went to see some Christmas lights on the 2 days before Christmas Day. On the second day, I went to a knight castle for a Christmas present. We had to eat with our hands because back then they had no silverware, and we were on the green side of the team. Suddenly, the knights started to fight each other. They were on different sides. When they were fighting, they had a sword and shield to fight each other. On Christmas Day, I got Erasable Colored Pencils, Nike shoes, some slippers, two pairs of pj's , a blue Lamborghini toy car, and a little yellow toy car.

5th Grade Trip By: ARIANA

Today I am going to tell you about our 5th grade trip. We are going to go to the Georgia Aquarium. I think it is going to be fun. I am going to tell you about what parts I think we are going to be in. One of those parts is going into the tunnel. Well, I know I am going to have fun.  We are going on February 3, 2015. I hope we will enjoy it!

Christmas was amazing!!! I loved seeing my family and friends! I also got a LOT of presents! Most of them were art supplies, or money, but still awesome!  On New Years I was sick, but I still got to watch movies and stuff. My mom must have been in a cat mood because she got me two cat puzzles and Cat-Opoly! I also gave some presents to family and friends, but now that Christmas break is over I get to see my friends at school!

Christmas Break!!! By Julia L.

This is the first Friday back from Christmas Break. We just found out that we are going to the Georgia Aquarium soon! Anyways, over the break, I got presents, of course, and here is my top 3 favorites-

• A big art kit containing, pastels, paint, colored pencils, markers, and drawing pencils


• A bed spread


• DS game

I got lots more presents, but those are just a few. On Christmas Eve we went to my grandparents' house, and ate tons of good food! Then we got home, and pretty much waited for Christmas!! We didn't go anywhere else then that. But we ARE going to my other grandparents' beach house in February!! On New Years, we stayed up until 1:30, or 2. That's pretty much all we did! Nothing much, but it was still very fun!

Coming Back To School By: Julian

Ugh, Christmas break is over. Back to getting up at 6:30 in the morning and getting out at 2:30. Back to homework, books, and classes. The main part I miss is getting up at noon and going to bed at midnight. Then the video games! I got a lot of new games for my PlayStation like madden 15, and now I can't play it till weekends. Also I will miss going to my grandma's house and getting presents. Christmas break is over now and I will have to wait another year before I can get out of school again.

Christmas Vacation by Caleb

Hi, my name is Caleb. I am going to talk about Christmas Vacation. Over the Christmas Break, my family and I are going to see some Christmas lights on the night before Christmas. I'm so excited that Christmas is coming up in 7 DAYS!  I'm getting the Erasable Colored Pencils. Erasable Colored Pencils are more like regular pencils, but they have color on them! I'm also getting a Lamborghini Toy Car for Christmas and Crazy-Sand! If you are interested in these Christmas things, you could get them for Christmas, too!
