1. I've watched a 100-pound kid sit on a cardboard bridge as it broke in half
2. I figured out Mrs. Hudson was stalking us in our blogs
3. I was willing to accept a hug when I won a competition
4. I've sung the Reading Rainbow theme song a million times
5. I rode my bike to school for the last time

This all happened today and now it's time to say goodbye.

Thank you for reading my posts and dealing with my craziness. I thank you all (and the bridge above is the one the kid sat on).

'Bye Peeps.... :( :)

Hi guys, it's me Lilly! For the last time.... Last bloggers meeting. However, I'll be a middle schooler in just a few months! I have some advice for the rising 5th graders! DON'T GET ON ANY OF THE TEACHERS' BAD SIDES!!!! For the future bloggers, GET A COMFY CHAIR! Also, bring headphones and listen to music! It helps! I'll miss Chase, but now I'll be an Owl too! Wait.... Owl Frog combo? That's creepy! Anyways, bye Chase, I'll miss ya. Oh, and, in Engineering club, my team (Molly, Jane, Sam, and me)'s bridge WON!!!!!!!!!!! Bye!

Our bridge!

Good-Bye

I don't have much time but I just wanted to say GOOD-BYE!!!
I have loved Chase Street all my life, and I am sad to leave it.

Good Bye Chase Street

I wish I could stay longer, but life doesn't work like that. I have loved being a tree frog and will forever be one. My years at this school were the start of my life. It was definitely a great start. Everything I know now is because of my teachers at Chase. I can't wait to come back and visit and share what is going on in middle school.

Good Bye

When I'm writing this it will be my last blog post of the year. This is because the school year is ending. Although I am happy for the school year to end and the summer to begin I really will miss Chase Street Elementary. Next year I will be at Clarke Middle and and some of the kids in 4th grade this year will be blogging. Since I've been here 7 years there is a lot to miss. I will miss blogging, going to the library going out for recess and I will mostly miss all of my teachers I've had in the past seven years. I will also miss all of the specials teachers and the spectrum teachers and everybody else.

Teachers I've had:
  • Pre-K: Ms. Dunston
  • Kindergarten:  Ms. Ellett
  • 1st grade:  Ms. Smith
  • 2nd grade: Ms. Favors
  • 3 rd grade: Ms. Ferrando
  • 4th grade: Ms. Kipling
  • 5th grade: Ms. Stokes

Ms. Hudson said this looked like my personality

My last blog

This is my last blog. It has been great blogging for Chase Street. I always looked forward to Thursday every week because that is when we would blog. Chase Street is a great school. If you ever get the chance to blog with Ms. Hudson you should take the chance. She is really cool and fun to be around. Blogging is fun because you get to skip ELT which is really good because I don't not like it at all. I think my parents made a great decision by sending me to Chase Street. I hope my sister will leave with a great memories like I have.

5th Grade Advice (for fifth graders next year)

  • Try not to miss a day of school or you will be behind
  • Try not to talk in class or you will sit out at recess (I know this from my personal experience)
  • Pay attention in class or else you'll be bored
  • Be in blogging and CARRY ON MY LEGACY
  • Stay out of drama. It wont help you.
  • Do your best so you can go into advanced classes so you get a better recommendation for classes in 6th grade
  • Don't waste glue or pencil or dry erase markers (you will regret it in the end)
  • Don't play games on the computer unless you are at home (if you do this too much you will lose your computer privileges!)

ADVICE FOR NEXT YEAR'S 5TH GRADERS!!!!!!!

Hello, rising 5th graders if you're reading this, I have some advice. One is to NEVER get involved in drama or get near it. Also to not talk in class or talk back to the teacher. You don't get that much recess time so use it wisely. You should also try and get in advanced classes to get good recommendations for 6th grade. I know I'm basically saying try your best like everyone but I really mean it. Thanks for reading.

For Upcoming 5th Graders

I am moving up to sixth grade soon but I want to give upcoming fifth graders some tips. I still do this but try not to talk in class. It will impact you! Learn as much as you can because it will help with testing and the classes you're in. Have fun but not too much or you could risk getting in trouble. Lastly have a great time since it will be your last year at Chase Street Elementary.

Advice for next year's 5th graders

Some of the tips I have for the upcoming 5th graders is that you should not skip a single day or part of a day of school as possible! The 5th grade is always moving very fast and you don't want to miss any of the learning. Don't talk in class, because if you do you usually have to skip recess. :(  Do very good on tests so you can get recommendations from your teachers for advanced classes in 6th grade. Well this is pretty much all of the things you should do in 5th grade.

LIBRARY SUMMER READING PROGRAM!!!!!

The summer library reading program!

The library summer reading program is the best! This program is all about encouraging kids and young adults to read during the summer. It's always really fun. When you sign up they give you a sheet for keeping up with your reading. after every few books or hours you get a prize. Sometimes you get a bookmark or a book. By getting to 50 hours or 100 books you can help get a trophy for your school. I hope to see you reading this summer!

MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU!!!!

Today is may the fourth! A whole day dedicated to "Star Wars!" I mean who wouldn't want THAT!

Zoo Atlanta Visit

When we went to the zoo it was really fun. We studied all the animals at the zoo and everybody got to see their animals. I studied the red panda and got to see it but the thing was that it was asleep sadly. I got to see lots of animals and after a while we went to lunch, I was really hungry because we had been walking around a lot. I was so grateful for food. Then we went back to look at more animals. We stayed there till we normally would go home and then we went home. When we got back it was 4:00 pm. So we went home really late. Once I got home I told my mom some things about the zoo. The field trip was fun.

At graduation, a few people are chosen to read their essays out loud in front of everyone! I hope I get chosen to be one of the readers! Bye!

5TH GRADE LEGACY PROGECT!!!!!!

The fifth grade legacy project is a project that every year each fifth grader does for the school to remember him/her when they leave the school to go to middle school. The legacy project has gone on for years. For example my two older sisters did their legacy project years before me one of  them did it 3 years before me. My other sister did it almost 5 years before me. My oldest sister,Sophie made her legacy project as a mural which is in the main hallway of Chase Street. My other sister, Ada made a chrysanthemum where each fifth grader in her class made a peal
on the flower. Our fifth grade legacy project is plaques that we painted in art class, and we painted our face up close on it. We will put all of them together and hang them up in the hall.

MAKER FAIRE

Maker Faire was a blast!! Mr. Sugiuchi's couch bike was there, and that was a blast to ride and watch. The slime station was there and that was probably my favorite station over all. There was so much cool stuff to check out, that I didn't get to check everything out. :(

There was a ice cream station that had the longest line I have ever seen. Sadly I didn't get any ice cream but Madison did and she said it was IIIISSSHHHH good. Anyway the Maker Faire was a total blast, and I hope you all went to the 2017 MAKER FAIRE!!!!!!! If you didn't go this year, then be sure to go to the 2018 Maker Faire!!!

5TH GRADE LEGACY PROJECT!!!

The 5th graders are working on legacy projects! A legacy project is a thing that 5th graders do every year and make something that will be in Chase Street for as long as Chase Street stands. A couple of ones from the past are the mural you'll see in the corner next to the 5th and 4th grade pod and the hallway going to the media center, cafeteria, art and music room, etc. Others are the flower above the doorway, to the right inside the cafeteria and the mosaics of the tree of life next to the wall to the art room. Our project this year is a bunch of small wood paintings with part of our face on them put together. It will be someplace near the cafeteria. Thank you for reading!

Final four basketball

The final four basketball tournament was really intense in competition. The real final four was South Carolina, Gonzaga, Oregon, and North Carolina. South Carolina played Gonzaga and Oregon played North Carolina. North Carolina won vs Oregon and Gonzaga won vs South Carolina. In the championship it was Gonzaga vs North Carolina, and North Carolina came out with the W. But overall there were 68 college teams competing. I wanted Oregon to win because once I realized that they were in the final four it was clear that they had a chance on winning the whole thing. But that is not how things turned out.

Maker Faire!!!

Hi! Lilly here, and I'm posting about the Maker Faire! It was held at Clarke Central on April 1st, from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm, and there were a lot of people! There was a station where you could make some slime, and another where you could make a bouncy ball! I got to do a few loops on a knitted square, and also weave a piece of yarn onto a collaborative weaving project! A station near to that was where you could get some Styrofoam scrap, and cup it into shapes using a wire with electricity running through it! I cut out my initials with it! There were a lot of other stations too, but I didn't get them all. Sadly, Mr. Sugi and Dr. Kurtz couch-cycle broke before I got to ride. 😭😫😣😢😞 Otherwise though, it was SUPER DUPER AWESOME!!!! Bye!

F.Y.I., this is not the Couch-Cycle that Mr. Sugi and Dr. Kurtz made.

Maker Faire

Maker Faire was really fun. My friend D'yana and I had an invention there. Our invention was the Insta-Du, which is a gadget that does hair in seconds except it was only a model. All the inventions there were amazing. There was a Lego piece separator because Legos always get messed up. It was almost hard to believe that kids around my age made them. Dr. Snook was there and was letting kids make slime. There was also free ice cream! It was really hot and the ice cream was really refreshing.

My Doodle Book!

Hi! It's me Lilly, and today, I'm posting about my Doodle Book! I have it on me at all times, along with my erasable pen! When I get an idea, and when I can, I'll draw a single panel comic! And, now, presenting..... LILLY'S DOODLE BOOK!!!! 😁

I'd, show, you more, but it's hard to get the photos! Another one I drew shows the problem of when a kid writes a story, and all the sentences start with "Then..." It's kind of annoying when that happens. In the panel, that's happening, and the rest of the class is asleep, and even the teacher! Another one, which is similar to the top right one, is the back cover, where Voldemort says, "THE END!", and everyone says, "WRONG!" Thanks for reading! Bye!😁😁😁😁😁
